Who is Patient Cottat?

Situated in the small village of Verdigny in the Sancerre region, the Fournier family has been making wine for many generations. The estate has grown from 5 hectares in 1950 to almost 30 hectares today, divided over the appellations of Menetou-Salon, Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre. The improvements made in vinification techniques and the permanent concern about quality result in well-balanced wines of great diversity.

What Makes These Wines Special?

What Does it Taste Like?

100% Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow with soft, subtlemineral notes on the nose,wrapped up in aromatics of melon and citrus. Clean, bright and refreshing, this is a perfect Sauvignon Blanc. Tropical fruit, citrus and spice aromas and flavors, with vibrant acidity and minerality. Pair it with soft cheese, especially goat cheese, and seafood.

100% Pinot Noir is made up of 50% Loire Valley and 50% Burgundy grapes.  This is a classic old world Pinot where the wine gives way to elegant and round body, showing off notes of raspberry, blackcurrants and spices.  Pair it with grilled meat, Coq au Vin or savory fish such as salmon or lobster.
